Workshop Details
The Isle of Arran is a magical place, often called 'Scotland in Miniature' It comprises of a 5 night stay at the excellent Lamlash Bay Hotel, including, dinner, bed and breakfast.
We meet at the ferry in Ardrossan for the afternoon crossing on the first day.
The Tour
We will be taking photos from Dawn to Dusk at the most stunning locations that Arran has to offer. The opportunities for great photography are everywhere on this amazing island. I will take you to the classic locations but with some new viewpoints and angles.
We will spend one of the days in the mountains, taking a steady walk up to Goat Fell. Providing the backdrop for some of the most breathtaking photographs in Scotland. the views from the fells are jaw dropping.
We will also visit new locations and viewpoints around the Isle of Arran that I have photographed over the years, this will bring the opportunity to add exciting new work to your portfolio.
Stunning coastal locations, mountains, bays and waterfalls are covered in this extensive workshop of Arran. The programme is aimed at people who want to improve their photography from any level, camera skills and composition. You may have a goodunderstanding of photography already and simply want to be guided to breathtaking scenery.
All the workshops we run are based on a relaxed format to make the most of your time and importantly enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Evening Review and Editing
One of the evening's when we get an opportunity, we will include a review of the days photography and editing techniques in Photoshop and Lightroom.
On the sessions you will learn how to take your image to the next level. I will talk you through each stage of the process to the final image, more importantly, I will explain how to take these new skills out into the landscape and increase your vision in front of the camera.
Small Workshop Group Size
A large part of my courses are about learning to see where an image is going to develop and looking at the landscape with a new eye for composition. As I only take small group's, this gives me plenty of time for one to one tuition. It also means we can easily stop along the routes to make images all through the day.

We will be staying at Lamlash Bay Hotel, right at the
heart of this magical island.
